So patio and decking was built to accommodate this.Small borders were made to allow for planting. Clients were keen to do their own planting and are going to plant Bamboo and lots of climbers to soften the hard landscaping. North London Garden

Cost7000

The brief was to completely clear garden which hadn't been used for several years. There was a problem with weeds and brambles particularly in the area where new lawn was due to go. So we applied several weed treatments to the entire garden before laying the new lawn. The client wanted us to create a contemporary garden using several different natural materials. The client wanted areas for entertaining and relaxing. As this is an end house there was a problem with the garden being overlooked from the street. To create privacy we have erected trellis along the boundary wall and built treated wood planters planted with quick growing clematis Montana and honeysuckle.

Stoke Newington Garden

Cost8000

This garden had been overgrown with weeds and unused for several years. The client wanted a traditional style garden with several different areas of interest also patio areas for relaxing and entertaining. Shade was needed as the garden is south facing. The client also wanted a space that was wildlife friendly. After treating the area for weeds and removing rubble left from the previous builders we added several tons of fresh soil to improve the quality. A large patio area was created to the return side of the house and in front of the conservatory with trellis to create a very private area where the client can relax or entertain. Rose arches were added to create separate areas of interest and to divide the garden into smaller spaces. Lawns were laid and the garden was planted extensively in a traditional style to attract wildlife. Several climbers were used to clamber over the trellising and arches. This also created lovely views from the house.

Tulse Hill Garden

Cost15,000

This large garden was on a fairly steep slope. Area was very overgrown with weeds and old turf. The client wanted a very low maintenance area as they were not keen gardeners but wanted to make the garden more usable for entertaining, parties and relaxing. They had asked for a contemporary design. The area was completely cleared of old turf, weeds and rubble before excavating the area to create 3 terraces. Railway sleepers were used to create the terrace areas and flower beds. Landscaping fabric was laid throughout to minimize future weed growth. Fencing was repaired and stained. Planting was kept minimal and low maintenance.

We created 2 large deck areas with a deck walkway connecting the two. The house itself was overlooked from the rear so we added a contemporary style pergola to create height and planted easy to grow climbers with 2 metre tall golden bamboo for screening. This area gets the late afternoon sun and once the climbers have started to grow we feel it will be the perfect place to sit and enjoy the end of the day.

Telegraph Hill Garden

Cost20,000

The client wanted a contemporary garden with a twist plus lots of space for outdoor furniture as they liked entertaining in the garden. Although they were fairly interested in plants they wanted the garden to be low maintenance and didn't want any grass to cut and look after as they spend several months away from the property.

As can be seen in the before pictures there was a large amount of waste to be removed from the garden. Once this had been removed we had a fairly blank canvas to work from. 3 circular decks were built to create large areas for entertaining. A water feature was added built from reclaimed timbers with the water falling into a small curved pond, creating the sound of running water. A blacksmith built the stainless steel circular sculpture at the end of the garden, again keeping to the circular theme - giving the client the originality they had asked for. The garden was planted with Mediterranean style planting. White Terrazzo planters were used for growing smaller plants. Near to the house we also added 2 large comfortable garden sofas. table and chairs. For added privacy there are 2 awnings. This has created a comfortable area to relax or entertain in giving the client the perfect "outdoor room."

20,000 price included the design / build of the garden, planting, furniture, all accessories and stainless steel sculpture.
